hot camera action
Didn't mention that we went to Glazer's Camera yesterday and got our photo situation sorted out. We're taking the 75-300mm lens we had, but also bought a 18-200mm Tamron. It's a much better quality lens than the crappy Minolta 28-200 that we had on there, and it gives us the better wide-angle capability (important for Tamara).
That lens set us back a considerable amount. Yow.

sleeping bags go on top, and who needs things like clothes when you have a geek lifestyle to support?
I'll have pictures once things start going together- probably Weds.
I did it in Alaska with less useful luggage, packing sleeping bag in one of the cases, *and* I was packing cooking gear, food, and full camping gear in the cases too. So this is actually much easier.
Some people do the Alaska/Prudhoe Bay thing in groups of 2 or 4 bikes. That's a lot easier because you can share gear.

Heh, the way you say 'important for Tamara' makes it sound like you need a wide angle lens to photograph me :)
Really, I just like architecture and panoramas.. I promise!
